I'm a TV Star Now

Joking aside. A reporter who had interviewed me at one of my CPAP check-ups (back then I thought: Yeah, this way I get to see the doctor sooner - which I did) called me again. She had already told me back then that she would get in touch again. I think that was over a year ago? Or two? Whatever. So, RAI again. This time about obesity. Weight-loss injections. At first. Then a switch to body perception or something like that. I thought, okay. Nobody watches that anyway (sorry U. ;-)). Then a good friend sent me a message: the segment is being promoted on Facebook. WTF?! 13,629 views!! What?! (facebook.com) If you click the link now, a comment that I found funny has been deleted. Something along the lines of: I should eat fewer dumplings. I replied that pasta and pizza are my problem. Also that I sometimes eat cheeky people. Oh well. Gone.

Anyway. Since then, several friends and acquaintances have brought it up with me. I have to admit it wasn't quite like that. When I was asked why I'm overweight, I said because I eat too much. That wasn't enough. Come mai ;-) So then psychology. Fits better.

Then a question about relationships. I also said there that I don't really want one, if only because of having to share a bed :-D. That didn't make it into the broadcast, and neither did a few other things. But let's say that's not the main reason for my non-relationships. It was also pointed out to me that you can sleep in separate beds. True.

The Tinder story is short, but a little funny: I have Tinder for free through an online bank account. With that version you can also set your location. So I placed myself in London. After a short while I got a match there with a Chinese woman. We chatted briefly. I explain to her that I don't actually live in London but in Italy. Where exactly? Me: in the north of Italy. She replies: “Yes, me too.” Yeah right… So in the interview I did say that I was contacted by a Chinese scammer. Probably not true, but likely pretty close.

I didn't actually watch the video itself - sorry U. - but, like a true computer scientist, cut out my part, extracted the audio and had Gemini summarize it. More or less accurate.

So what surprised me most was that so many people actually watched it. I basically never watch that kind of thing. Cinema instead. And there I overdid it a bit today, calorie-wise, but not really by much, considering that my basal metabolic rate is 3,000 kcal.
